On the 29th I turned 23.
It was a very usual day. Then I came home and finished up the newest episode of weebl and bob. Which you can view here.
Nintendo had a conference last night about their new stuff. After the debacle that was E3 it'd be pretty hard for them to lower fan's expectations more. But Nintendo didnt this time. Not too much anyway.
There's a new Nintendo DS coming out. It will have an SD card slot and have downloadable content and a mii system much like the wii has. It also has a camera and a better microphone.
However it lacks a slot for game boy advanced games. A world where I cant play Kirby and the Amazing Mirror or Super Puzzle Fighter Turbo is not a world I wish to live in.
So thats a deal-breaker for me.
There's a new Mario and Luigi rpg coming out. I hope it doesnt become a redundant fest like the last one did. Where the brothers had no attacks and used turtle shells to attack EVERYTHING. There's a new PUNCH OUT coming out for the wii.
Treasure, who are one of the best development teams ever, are putting out a sequel to something which rarely happens. A new Sin & Punishment.
I wish they'd make a new mischief makers or stretch panic.
However thats all stuff I dont care much about.
Here's what I care about:
KLONOA. HELL YES, GENTLEMEN.
Namco's finest series. Namco is also putting that drumming game on the wii. I've forgotten its name. As long as Namco is putting arcade franchises up, they should put POINT BLANK on there as well. That'd make me happy!
for those who have not played point blank, it is a game where you must help two muppetlike characters called Dr.Dan and Dr.Don shoot thousands of random batshit crazy things off the screen.
HEY SHOOT THE FLANKSTEAK OFF THIS COW. HEY SHOOT THE NINJA. NO YOU FOOL YOU ONLY SHOT HIS BANDANNA. SHOOT THIS SWARM OF BEES. BEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS.
Very fun and amazingly dumb like Wario Ware.
Last time Point Blank was on a console was back in the Dreamcast days.
The friggin Dreamcast.
Anyway so yes. Small successes for Nintendo here. They keep advertising wii music, though. ugh. They'd do better making that a download on wiiware than an expensive full-fledged store release. They need less shovelware off the shelves. If I have to look at the hideous face of Billy from the "Billy the Wizard" shovelware game at my job again I am going to vomit blood and polysaccharides all over the place.
enough talk about the shifting gaming industry.
my friend Ansel, got a shirt with one of my designs on it.
Ansel is but 14 but makes some amazing stylized art. Which you can see here. He's a friendly chap with a keen eye for design. And is making a neat cartoon right now about a robot.
With that weebl cartoon being done, I have been working on polypeptide all day.
And here's a screenshot.
out of shit to write about good day
Give them a fish, they eat for a day.
